My truck has the 5.3 LS lifter tick. Is that always a rebuild?
Not always. Sometimes it's just a failed lifter or AFM issue — a $1,500 fix with the right diagnostic. Other times the cam is wiped and it really is a rebuild. We do compression and oil pressure tests before quoting anything definitive.
I'm at Nicholls and my Cummins died. Are you the place for a project truck?
We love project trucks. LS swaps, Cummins swaps, full custom engine setups — bring it down. We'll talk through the build, budget, and timeline before any wrench turns. Most Nicholls students and grads we work with are doing the build in stages, which we're totally good with.
My 6L80 transmission slipped. Internal rebuild or full swap?

How quickly can you turn around a transmission swap?
Once the unit's in our hands, the install is 2–3 days. Parts availability is the variable — typically 3–7 days for common 6L80, 6R80, 10R80, and Allison units.
Do you do engine swaps for older trucks? I have a 90s C10.
Absolutely. LS swaps into older C10s, GMTs, and Jeeps are bread-and-butter work for us. Bring the truck down and we'll spec the swap (donor engine, harness, accessories, fuel system, cooling) before any work starts.
